That was, like, so like, true. Uh, like, really.

Don't you feel some times that your life sucks? Maybe you'll never have what you want? Never get that SPECIAL something everyone else seems to have? Well, look around. Everyone feels the exact same way. :S

Hi. Long time, eh?
I had exams. And then lots of social functions. :|

In today's time, us teenagers are faced with many troubles. Is our hair cut good enough? Do I look fat in this t-shirt? What if he/she never likes me? Why does no one care about me? How do I make-up with this friend?

The fact is that during your teen years, since you are maturing (Ugh.) your mindset changes. You start having completely different opinions about something than you had about it before. You start thinking differently. You feel that you have to live up to someone's idea of who you are. You think that maybe if you do a, b, c things than maybe you will be good enough for people to befriend you.

The world today is entirely materialistic. Hardly ever you come across someone who will be 100% confident about who they are and will not care about other people's opinion about them. Why should they? According to them, they are awesome.

Insecurities. All of us have them. Some of us are very bad at hiding them and some of us are very good. We may not recognize them as insecurities, but they are what they are. What we don't get is that our insecurities are what will hold us back in life. It will prevent us from being "awesome".

Popularity is another thing we all want. While some may not show their desire, others are too open about it. Not being popular or being a "loner" is one of the many reasons causing depression in teens today.

Parents also have a part in this play. They often do not understand that since we are going through all this stuff outside of the house, we are bound to be a little agitated about it. And if we are constantly nagged about how we are behaving and how irresponsible we are, we'll sure as hell get pissed off at them.

Also, our "education" can be a big pain-in-the-neck. It is bad enough that we have to go under all that peer pressure without education thrown in the middle. Yes, it is obviously this hugely important part of our life without which we would grow up to be nothing and will not be able to buy that car we have been dreaming of since we were six. Needless to say, a good education is essential, but it is also very stressful for us. We often have to decide between our Math homework and "that rich kid's party at his house, the one with the Olympic-sized swimming pool". Wonder which one we end up choosing ..

So all of us have issues. Issues of being overweight, ugly, poor, friendless, etc. So unless you are this super-smart, super-friendly, super-rich and super-gorgeous person, you are bound to go through some kinds of problems in life.

Teenagers go through a lot of shit these days. Yes, it looks like we are having an awesome time (which we SOMETIMES do) but we also have problems that we have to deal with ourselves.
